When I saw in the fabric butique the lace in this powder shade of pink and perfectly matching silk crepe de Chine, it was the love on the first sight!
This colour and the floral lace ornament brought to my mind an idea of romantic summer dress with ruffle, which would have been perfect for the planned ladies-city-escape from Dubai to Nice with my dear friend K.
It doesn’t matter how many dresses I have already done… I am always so thrilled and nervous before cutting for a new one and this time it was not different. But as the date of the trip was getting closer, I finally took a scissors (and courage) and started to work.
Once a decision about strapes and final lengh was taken, sewing flew smooth and soon I tried on the half finished creation.
Another few hours, pinked fingers and cups of tea later, the dress was resting on the hanger and waiting to be packed for the trip.
We had such a great time in Nice and I can say, Rosè and macarons have never tasted better!
